Gurgaon News: On Saturday, Gurgaon reported 173 new cases of Covid-19, a slight decrease from the previous day’s count of 206. The test positivity rate remained steady at 9.85%.
However, the number of active cases rose from 698 on Friday to 788. Of these, 11 are hospitalized, and the rest are in home isolation. The health department confirmed 1,756 tests in the last 24 hours, down from 2,091 on Friday.
The city also recorded 83 recoveries. Dr. Virender Yadav, the chief medical officer, urged people to follow Covid protocols, wear masks in public, and get vaccinated. Dr. Manoj Goel, Director of Pulmonology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, stated that while the situation is not alarming, everyone should take precautions, including wearing masks and avoiding crowded areas.
The Haryana state reported 399 new Covid cases on Saturday, with Gurgaon leading with the highest number of cases, followed by Faridabad (69) and Panchkula (51).
The state’s total number of active cases has risen to 1,536, with a positivity rate of 6.9%. A total of 6,224 Covid tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, according to the health bulletin.
