The confrontation resulted in injuries to the police personnel. The incident unfolded in village Singaar, where a team comprising three policemen under the leadership of sub-inspector Vineet had arrived.
As the police were attempting to board their vehicle along with the suspect, the group of individuals began hurling stones at them, leading to an altercation.
Subsequently, the injured policemen were taken to the Punhana community health center for medical attention. In response to the situation, additional police personnel were dispatched to the scene. Consequently, nine individuals were apprehended, including five women, in connection with the assault.
A formal case related to the incident was registered at the Bichhor police station, according to a statement by police spokesperson Krishan Kumar.
Notably, the Nuh region had recently experienced communal clashes triggered by an attack on a religious procession organized by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on July 31. During this unfortunate episode, six individuals, including two home guards and a cleric, lost their lives.
