GURGAON: Five people had a narrow escape after the car they were traveling in suddenly caught fire on the Sohna-Gurgaon elevated road.
Swiftly noticing smoke emerging from the car’s bonnet, all five occupants promptly exited the vehicle, according to authorities.
Upon receiving the alert, a fire engine was dispatched, managing to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes. During this time, traffic had to be rerouted by the traffic police.
In a separate incident occurring later in the day, a mini truck collided with a median on the same Sohna-Gurgaon elevated road. Fire officer Nitish Bhardwaj mentioned that the truck driver was successfully rescued from the trapped vehicle and has been subsequently admitted to the hospital for medical attention.
