Jagran Correspondent, Gurugram:

In the Bhondsi police station area’s Sherenaz Society, a young man murdered his 62-year-old employer in the flat due to a salary dispute. He hid the body in the balcony, covered it with clothes, and locked it from outside before fleeing.

Upon detecting a foul smell, neighbors informed the police, who retrieved the body from the flat on Saturday night. During the investigation, the police apprehended the accused from Agra on Sunday morning. The accused admitted to the murder.

The Bhondsi police station reported that around 8 PM on Saturday, a person informed the police control room about a foul smell emanating from flat number 1201 on the 12th floor of Sherenaz Society in Dhunela. Subsequently, the local police, along with the crime scene team, FSL, dog squad, and fingerprint team, arrived at the scene.

Signs of a Sharp Weapon on the Neck:

The body, about a week old, was found in the flat’s balcony, showing signs of a sharp weapon cut on the neck. After examining documents in the house, the deceased was identified as Rajeev Ojha, a resident of Mandal village in Bhilwara, Rajasthan.

The police informed Rajeev’s family. It was discovered that Rajeev had been living alone in this society for many years and ran a grocery store. The local police registered a case under murder charges and began the investigation.

The Bhondsi police team collected various information to identify the murderer. Several raids were conducted at night, leading to the arrest of the accused from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday morning. The accused was identified as Arjun Kumar from Baroli Khairgarh village in Firozabad.

Arjun Started Working Three Months Ago:

During police interrogation, it was revealed that Arjun had been working at Rajeev’s shop for about three months. A dispute arose when Arjun demanded his salary, leading to an argument. Harboring resentment, the accused went to the flat at 10 PM on July 1. While Rajeev was asleep, the accused attacked him with a large coconut-cutting knife, killing him, and then fled.

The police station in-charge stated that the accused would be presented in court on Sunday and taken into custody for five days. During this time, further interrogation and efforts to recover the murder weapon will be undertaken.
