On Sunday, police reported that a 14-year-old girl attending a government school in Gurgaon was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by three boys who have yet to be apprehended.
The incident reportedly occurred in December but was not reported until Saturday, when the girl confided in her parents.
According to the father’s police complaint, his daughter was watching a football match in their village when the boys accosted her on a nearby hill and forcibly took her to an isolated area, where they took turns raping her.
The accused also recorded a video of the incident and threatened to circulate it if the victim told anyone. The accused are all minors, with two being students at a private school in the area. The police have identified the suspects and are working to apprehend them.
The accused have been charged under sections 363 (kidnapping), 376 DA (gang rape on a woman under sixteen years of age), 34 (common intention) and sections 6 and 13 of the POCSO Act.
