A tragic incident occurred early on Sunday in West Delhi’s Rohtak Road, resulting in the untimely demise of a dedicated Delhi Police inspector. Inspector Jagbir Singh, who was serving in the Security unit of the Delhi Police, lost his life after a reckless truck crashed into his car.
According to police reports, the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident and is currently on the run. Inspector Singh’s injuries proved fatal, and he succumbed to them.
During the unfortunate incident, Inspector Singh’s car, a Ciaz, had experienced some mechanical trouble, prompting him to stop the vehicle. Regrettably, a truck approached from behind and collided with the stationary car, also striking Inspector Singh, who was standing outside at the time.
DCP (West) Vichitra Veer confirmed the details of the incident and the driver’s hasty departure from the scene.
In response to this distressing event, law enforcement authorities have dispatched teams to locate the fleeing truck driver. Legal action has already been initiated against him, as the police are determined to bring him to justice for his reckless actions.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to Inspector Jagbir Singh’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. The loss of a dedicated officer like Inspector Singh is deeply felt in the Delhi Police community, and his service and sacrifice will always be remembered.
